about

BANDA DE LA MUERTE´s “Seis Canciones”, album of Argentine rock covers from the 70s, on 10-inch vinyl picture disc. The six songs chosen for the cover represent jewels from the perhaps most fruitful era of Argentine rock.

"Abelardo el Pollo" from Volume 4 of Pappo's Blues; "Las imágenes que ves entre las nubes", a jewel of Argentine psychedelic rock by Miguel Cantilo and Grupo Sur; “Niño del Tercer Milenio”, surprisingly proto-metal progressive work by the mythical group “Orion’s Beethoven”; “Era de Tontos”, composed by Luis Alberto Spinetta and Pappo in 1971 and released on the album Spinettalandia y sus amigos; “La Sarna del Viento”, another hidden gem of Argentine heavier, psychedelic and progressive rock, from the Contraluz group; and “Reunidos en el Cuarto” from Sacramento, with the participation of Ciro Fogliata himself on keyboards.

Needless to say, BANDA DE LA MUERTE, updates these "Six Songs" to a modern and current sound, with an incredible production, quality and execution of these classics of the best Argentine rock.

-
